The 2 Sides (2012): Parody Of The Existence

Story

David was a big helper in the original master. I really never thought seriously about making this track again, but eventually I did. The first thing I did was adding new guitars, and not having the original guitar loop through all the song. The background voices were redone in a new way, giving them a "phantom" sound.

One thing about the new "Two Sides" is the enjoyment I had while making the disc. Perhaps this is reflected at the end, with my couple "Parody of the existence!". I recorded the song with only one voice, and David checked it. He said he wasn't pleased with the voice, so I recorded a second one, but instead of replacing it, added it to leave both voices. You can check the results.

The water at the beginning, is louder than in the original. Also, the song matches with "The Third Side", something not present in the original. This was actually something done in the very end of the production of the disc.

Some corrections were done in this track with this version. Also, a lyric was changed: from "But one guy came to me, he was there himself'; and the parody of the existence came into myself", to "But one guy came to me, he questioned everything; and the parody of the existence came up from nothing". This was actually something that was planned even for the 2007 version - but was never done. It actually explains better the song.

Concept

Immediately after God is created in "The Beginning", God plans the creation of everything, and He gets it done. But someone appears, and questions every thing about His creation. He makes fun of God, saying that this will not work. God sends this person to Hell, and then escapes, leaving us alone, while He's tortured, eternally, by this parody of the existence.

Lyrics

And I was there, like anything else
and the creation of existence came into my head.
I was great, no better than it, yeah
Everything of existence I was going to create.

My plans were now prepared, everything's OK,
Who could deny that everything was so perfect?
But one guy came to me, he questioned everything
And the parody of the existence came up from nothing

Parody of the existence, wondering why it should exist.
Parody of the existence, and all the guilt came into me.
Parody of the existence, wondering why it should exist.
Parody of the existence, and all the guilt came into me.

"And why you ruined everything?" I wanted to ask.
But all my questions remained in my plan.
I send him off, into a new place.
This new location was called "the death."

So I decided to escape from everything I created,
And all my creation was gone to the hell, yeah.
And I was alone, once more again.
But the parody of the existence still remained.

Parody of the existence, wondering why it should exist.
Parody of the existence, and all the guilt came into me.
Parody of the existence, wondering why it should exist.
Parody of the existence, and all the guilt came into me.

Parody of the existence, wondering why it should exist.
Parody of the existence, and all the guilt came into me.
Parody of the existence, wondering why it should exist.
Parody of the existence, and all the guilt came into me.

Yeah, yeah, parody of the existence
Parody of the existence
Yeah, yeah...
