The Two Sides (2007): Concept

So, with every new thing, a concept comes along, and The Two Sides was no different.

The funny thing is, I didn't realize what concept I was telling until the very end.

But anyway, I created 12 songs, and with a specific order, it tells the next story.

First of all, the name of the disc, "The Two Sides", is a reference to Life and Death, those being, the two sides.

A long, long time ago, God was created ("The beginning"). He created the world, but someone appeared and made Him have doubts, that resulted in Him abandoning His creation ("Parody of the existence"). After a while, a new soul was created, but instead of being alive or dead, the soul didn't exist in the physical world yet ("The third side"). The soul became a human being, having a normal life first ("Wanna know my name? Later"), later marching in protests and shouting what he didn't like ("Nothing is like it used to be"). After this, he became an assassin ("I'm back"). Some time after this, he got depressed and killed himself ("Nothing's being made"), culminating the first half of the story.

The next song, instead of watching this soul in death, finds it in another life, in which he kills himself again ("Involuntary suicide"). After some lives, he becomes a ghost ("What can I do to cure this evil?") before becoming a human again, and being visited by death again to take him to the afterlife ("Afterlife experiences"). In the next life, however, he remembers all his lives, and writes about them ("Working song"), as if him wrote all the songs of the album. The world finishes by the next track, and he mentions in his last song ("The finale"), all his experiences. The disc ends with the lines "This is the end, the finale / we can't do anything about it / a decision was made, oh yeah / and it occurred very soon".

There it is, the whole concept. To read a more in-depth concept, check every article of every song, under Track list.
